Series 7 Sponsorship

By Nick Hunter A popular question we always get is “How can I get sponsored for the Series 7 Test?” If you are looking to break into the securities business as a broker, you will notice many firms require the Series 7 license. What is the problem for most people? They don’t have the license and it cannot be taken until you are employed or affiliated with a firm who will do it for you. There is the problem. Many firms will still hire “broker trainees” that are unlicensed and will eventually sponsor their new hired for the Series 7 once an initial training period is completed. These firms are willing to go through that process for attractive candidates. Broker dealers that are in a strong hiring mode will offer training and sponsorship. Other firms are only looking for Series 7 representatives or people with other licenses. The options for people right out of school are limited here. You will have to get hired first before you can take the Series 7. The good news is you can take a few other exams that can enhance your resume and these can be taken by individuals (no sponsorship necessary). They Include: Series 65 Exam - Registered Investment Advisor The Series 65 license looks terrific on a resume and does not require a sponsor to sit for it. The license itself allows a person to charge fees for giving investment advice. Series 63 Exam - Uniform State Law Agent The Series 63 is normally a required license and this can be taken as an independent. You can register to solicit business in other states with a Series 63. A big plus on a resume as well. Series 3 Exam - Futures and Commodities Although most firms do not engage in big futures business, you don’t know what your eventual firm does - so, it may be a useful license. In this job market, the more licenses the better. What if you are a Tax Attorney, Mortgage Broker, Real Estate Agent or any other professional with existing clients and you want to take the Series 7? The answers are better here. Our firm, and a few others WILL look to affiliate with professionals such as these, and WILL strongly consider sponsoring you and setting you up as an independent broker. You have clients and you want to add investments to your practice. We would be interested in affiliating with you. Since the clients and contacts are already there, the chances of business being done by the professional to benefit him or herself and the firm is likely. So, there are really two answers to the original question of “how to get sponsored”. If you do not own a current practice like a CPA or an Attorney, you will not be able to take the Series 7 exam until you are hired as an employee at the firm who hires you. If you are a professional that is currently selling financial products or a legal professional, firms such as our will speak with you and allow you to operate as an independent agent out of your office - while allowing you to continue all of your current business. The last option for new people entering the full time finance market, is to obtain as many of the “no sponsorship required” licenses as possible. Dress up that resume and get licensed with as much as you can. Your dream job awaits you. Independent Broker Set-Up Good Luck! Make the Most of Your Tradeshow Exhibit with an Effective Strategy

By Tarsha Polk If youve been thinking about ways to get in front of potential customers who would purchase your products, consider becoming an exhibitor at an industry tradeshow. I love attending tradeshows because this is when I have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with qualified buyers. The tradeshow producers have done the leg work to target and assemble individuals with specific needs; leaving me the opportunity to put my best foot forward. Attending tradeshows can be an effective marketing strategy for many business industries. Dont get me wrong! Just because you attend a tradeshow does not mean you will walk away with tons of business. A tradeshow can be a very expensive marketing investment; but if done correctly you may end the event with enough sales to cover your vendor fee and maybe even a few new contacts. Developing a strategy to get the most return on your tradeshow investment will require a great deal of preparation, creativity, and energy. Making the most out of a tradeshow starts with picking tradeshows where qualified buyers of your products will be attending. If you provide insurance for small businesses, then attend a tradeshow that will target those buyers would be helpful. Qualified buyers are those who are more likely to purchase your products and they are in need of your services. Contact the tradeshow producers and ask questions like, What is your expected number of attendees, how are you promoting the event to them, and what industries and job titles will be represented at the tradeshow? Asking these simple questions will help you determine if you will meet some qualified buyers. Once youve decided you should attend the event, there are pre-conference marketing activities you can implement if you have the budget. For example, get an ad in the pre-conference journal or on the tradeshow producers website. See if you can purchase the list of pre-conference registrations and send them a direct mail piece with your booth number to encourage them to stop by. Pick the best location possible for your display. I recommend close to the entry way and the front center aisles. Choosing an exhibit stand depends on your budget, but you should always have eye catching display items. You will only have a few seconds to get someones attention as they walk by. All your marketing material and display items must have a clear and concise message so passer byes will quickly read your marketing message. Most attendees go to the exhibit hall to pick up free stuff or visit a particular vendor table. I remember a recent tradeshow exhibit hall I attended where the vendor had lounge chairs, computers, and TV monitors at their booth. First, the chairs caught my eyes because my feet were killing me from all the walking; then it was the nicely laid out display area. Now, you may not have the budget to do all of this, but you can do creative things like having a magician, massage therapist, impersonator, games, prizes, or drawings to get someones attention. Drawings are great ways to gather customer information for future use. Maybe they wont buy that day, but get permission to add them to an email list to be notified of future offers. You never know, they may become a customer soon after. Depending on the size of the event, bring someone along with you to man the booth as you walk the aisle handing out flyers about special offers for this event only. Please be respectful of other vendors and dont steal people away from their tables. Tradeshows give you an opportunity to learn more about your competition. Walk the floor, visit their booths and pick up some of their literature. Ask them about what they offer. Be up front with them as to who you are because they are just as curious about your company as you are theirs. Pay attention to what kind of traffic their display gets and what activities they use to draw people to their table. After the tradeshow is a pivotal time for follow up on the contacts youve made during the event. Go through all those business cards that were left at your table and send them letters in the mail thanking them for stopping by your table. Extend a special offer on your products to encourage them to buy. If they gave you permission to email them, request that they sign up for your newsletter to receive additional deals. Dont forget to make follow up calls to those hot leads (people who said they would like a meeting or detailed discussion about your services). You can make the most out of a tradeshow with an effective strategy. Just take the time to do a little research, creative thinking, and budgeting to get the most return on your investment. Please To Meet You, My Name Is Rabies

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Tyler_Brooker] Tyler Brooker Rabies here. Have you ever wondered what i am really all about? Most people just think that i make dogs become angry and foam from the mouth. Well that hardly does my name justice! Try this on for size; I am a viral disease which causes minor encephalitis, and can effect animals AND humans. How’s that! Granted, I tend to stick with warm blooded carnivors as my prey, but don’t think I can only get at dogs! Any animal on the planet is susceptible to my infection. My greatest power is not well known among the human population. I am uncureable! “Till death do us part” as they say. Once i have found my way into a humans system, I almost invariably kill. The only thing you can do to stop me is prevent me. Vaccination is my worst enemy. If I am caught in time, vaccinations will sometimes lead to my demise instead of yours, but don’t count on it. I only generally jump from one host to the next through biting. “Why don’t we stop biting each other?” you ask? Because you can’t! I can make you crazy. I ensure my generation to continue by causing you to be a vicious animal. Now that I think about it, I am downright cruel! But now that I have scared you, I must come clean. Humans are not my favorite friends. It’s hard to make you crazy. For the most part, if you are bitten by a [http://www.rabies-symptoms.com ] rabid animal, you will die unless treated quickly, and that is where it stops. Occasionally I hop to another person through kisses, but for the most part, I tend to stay out of your way. But none the less, be careful! El Salvador Casinos

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Adel_Awwad]Adel Awwad El Salvador is a beautiful country in Central America to visit. If you’re looking for gambling options in El Salvador, including El Salvador casinos, consider what this country has to offer. First of all, while El Salvador is not particularly noted for its large number of casinos, at least compared to other parts of Central America, there are nonetheless a few quality and popular casinos to be found. Although using El Salvador casinos is considered the only legal form of gambling in the country, other forms of gambling are available, as well, particularly betting at horse racing and dog racing sports events. Further, El Salvador gambling is available on many cruise ships and riverboat casinos in El Salvador. Many locals and tourists frequently choose to place bets at these types of events. As mentioned above, the only form of legal gambling in this country is through the licensed El Salvador casinos. There are two main El Salvador casinos. The biggest casino in the country, complete with legal gambling facilities, is found in the city of Guadalupe: the Siesta Hotel & Casino. This particular casino consists of four different table games and a total of 200 casino slot machines or other video terminal gaming machines. Besides the Siesta Hotel & Casino, the city of Guadalupe offers two other facilities containing slot machines only, and there are five other locations in the city for table games. In the city of Santa Ana, you can find the Monte Carlo Casino, which is still somewhat popular among tourists, although it is not as large as the Siesta Hotel & Casino and has no gaming machines. You can also find smaller, lesser quality and sketchier El Salvador casinos and gambling joints scattered throughout the country, but these are generally considered to be for locals only and are not recommended for tourists. Poker games are prevalent throughout the country, both in and outside the El Salvador casinos. Many locals participate regularly in large-scale tournaments, independent of the El Salvador casinos. In addition, lotteries are held regularly in El Salvador. Gambling is slowly becoming more recognized throughout El Salvador as local entertainment for the residents, as an attraction for tourists, and as a revenue generator for businesses and the government. Whether you’re looking for El Salvador casinos or other forms of gambling, you are sure to find what you’re looking for while visiting this fascinating country.
